We spend our time keeping clothing in circulation, reducing fashion waste, and making resale fair and affordable, not running complicated inventory systems. Our simple, analog process gives you a summary of what sold and your total payout, not item by item tracking.

It isn’t perfect, but it has helped thousands of people buy, sell, and reuse clothing, and we look forward to continuing to do so.

PAYOUTS

We want resale to work for everyone. Our payout percentages are based on the final selling price of your items.

• Under $100: 40% to you

• $100 to $500: 45% to you

• $500 to $1,000: 55% to you

• $1,000+: Up to 65%, case by case

Payouts are generally issued every 2 to 4 weeks by check or Zelle. Prefer store credit? We'll add an extra 10% to your payout.

Your payout is yours to claim whenever you're ready. Cash payouts and store credit don't expire while Neighbor Neighbor remains open.

BEFORE YOU BRING ITEMS IN

Please take a few minutes to browse the shop before bringing anything in. This helps you get a feel for our aesthetic, saves you unnecessary schlepping, and helps us keep space available in our very small store.

We're highly curated and tend to favor natural materials like linen, silk, cotton, cashmere, and wool, along with designer pieces, thoughtful everyday basics, unique finds, and occasional vintage.

We prioritize quality, wearability, and pieces that fit our current collection. We can't accept everything, and final selection and pricing decisions are made by Taiana. If she's not in the shop, items may be held for her review.

Walk-ins welcome. No appointment needed. Bring whatever you can comfortably carry.

HOME VISITS

Save the schlep. We come to you!

Have a closet full of beautiful things, more than you can carry, or just need a little personal help deciding what to let go of? We get it. Sometimes the hardest part of consigning isn't bringing things in. It's figuring out where to start.

It can also be hard to know exactly what we're looking for. With a home visit, we can select pieces directly from your closet, saving you the time and hassle of guessing what might be a good fit for the shop.

Whether you have a larger collection, can't easily schlep your items to us, or would appreciate a little extra guidance letting go of certain pieces, we're happy to make the process easier and more personal.

HOW CONSIGNMENT WORKS

Most pieces stay in the shop for approximately 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the season, customer interest, and available space.

We continually review our inventory and may remove items sooner or keep them longer depending on what's working in the shop.

A note on pricing: To give your pieces the best chance of selling, we may mark items down over time, generally by around 30% to 50% when needed. Markdown decisions are made at our discretion based on demand, seasonality, and available space.

UNSOLD & UNACCEPTED ITEMS

Not every piece will find a new home, and we need to keep things moving to make room for new arrivals.

If we don't accept an item, we'll ask you to pick it up within a few days unless you've already authorized donation.

For consigned items that don't sell, we'll text you when they're ready for pickup. Please respond within five days to let us know whether you'd like to arrange pickup or have the items donated.

After that, any remaining items may be donated to a charity or resold through another secondhand platform as part of our efforts to support a charity selected by Neighbor Neighbor. Once items have been donated or resold, they can no longer be retrieved.

We know life gets busy, so if you need a little extra time, just communicate with us. We're happy to discuss arrangements when possible.

COMMUNICATION & RECORDS

We're here to move clothes, not paperwork.

Neighbor Neighbor operates on a simple, analog system. Rather than spending our time maintaining complicated inventory databases, we put that energy into curating the shop, connecting with customers, and keeping clothing in circulation.

We don't provide itemized intake lists, spreadsheets, or reports showing the individual selling price of every item.

When you receive a payout, you'll get a list of the items that sold along with your total payout amount. Individual sale prices and dates aren't included.

If you'd like a visual record of the pieces you bring in, please take photos before drop-off or ask us to photograph selected items when you bring them in. Requests for photos need to be made at drop-off.

Our system isn't perfect, and we know it won't be the right fit for everyone. But it has allowed us to keep things personal, manageable, and focused on what matters most: moving good clothes sustainable and reducing impact.

A NOTE ABOUT YOUR ITEMS

We take care when handling the pieces entrusted to us, but once items have been dropped off, loss, theft, or accidental damage may occur. Please review the signed consignment agreement for the terms governing responsibility for your items and any applicable exceptions.

If you're unsure whether your collection is a good fit, we can arrange a FaceTime consultation. Home visits may also be available for larger collections or anyone who would appreciate some extra help going through their closet.

There is usually short-term parking near the end of De La Guerra. If you can't find a spot, call or text us and we'll do our best to meet you at your car.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIGNING

We want you to feel good about consigning with us, and that starts with knowing how we work.

Our approach is intentionally simple, hands-on, and a little old-school. If you prefer a fully digital consignment experience with detailed inventory tracking and itemized sales reports, we completely understand, but we may not be the right fit.

By consigning with Neighbor Neighbor, you'll be agreeing to our consignment terms, including our payout structure, pricing and markdown practices, consignment period, and policies for unaccepted and unsold items.

Please read and sign our consignment agreement before leaving your items with us. The signed agreement contains the full terms of our arrangement.
